Teachery

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 27, 2026

This is a placeholder, not the final Privacy Policy. The wording below is a stand-in so the page exists and is reachable. Our real privacy practices will replace this text before Teachery relies on it.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and the details you choose to add to your profile. As you use Teachery we also collect the content you create and basic information about how you use the service.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to run and improve Teachery: to provide the service, to keep it secure, to communicate with you about your account, and to meet our legal obligations.

3. Payments

Payment details are handled by our payment processors, not stored by Teachery. Creators receive payments through their own connected Stripe account.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to operate Teachery, and only as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

5. Artificial intelligence

Teachery has an AI assistant you can chat with while you work. It is only for creators and the people they invite to help run an account. Your students, buyers and members never see it and it never answers them. It is switched on for a new account, and you can switch it off in your account settings.

When you send the assistant a message, that message goes to Google's Gemini API, together with anything you attached to it and a summary of your account. The summary lists your courses, products, memberships, communities, landing pages and checkout pages, and it names your most recent buyers with each one's email address. While the assistant works on a request it reads things back out of your account, and whatever it reads goes to Google too, so asking it about one of your customers sends that person's name, email address and what they bought.

Google does not use any of this to train AI models. Teachery pays for the Gemini API, and the paid tier carries that commitment.

You can also ask Teachery to generate a picture, or to change a picture you already have. The written description of the picture goes to Google's Gemini image models, and so does every picture sent along with it: the picture you ask to change, and any picture whose style you ask it to draw in, such as your course header or a picture you attached in the chat.

The assistant only acts inside your own account. It cannot charge anybody or take a payment. It can refund a payment, take a customer's access away and change what a customer holds, and each of those waits for you to confirm it before anything happens.

Your conversation with the assistant is kept in your account for as long as you choose under Keep chat history for in your account settings, or until you clear it.

Teachery also keeps a record of each request sent to an AI model for you, with the answer that came back, so that we can fix problems. A record is kept for no more than 30 days, and for less when you keep your conversation for less. Teachery can change that number of days, and this page always shows the one in force.

Clearing the chat deletes your conversation and every one of those records, and deleting your account deletes both.

6. Companies that process your information

Teachery runs on services other companies provide, and each of them receives some of your information because the service cannot work without it. None of them may use it for anything but running that service for us, and we do not sell your personal information to them or to anyone else.

Google is the only AI company on this list. No other one receives anything.

7. Your choices

You can review and update your account details at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information tied to it, subject to any records we are required to keep.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
